Telluride’s stunning mountain scenery comes with an altitude of 8,750 feet, which can cause mild symptoms like shortness of breath, headache, or fatigue. To help your body adjust, stay hydrated, be mindful of alcohol intake, and take it easy the first day. You can expect a beautiful summer day in the mountains, with daytime temperatures typically in the low to mid-70s°F and cooler evenings that can dip into the 40s due to the high elevation. Our celebration will be held outdoors for both the ceremony and reception, so we recommend dressing in layers for comfort throughout the day. Sunscreen and sunglasses are also encouraged during daylight hours. To keep everyone cozy as the evening cools, we’ll have heaters and firepits on-site — feel free to bring a favorite wrap or jacket and enjoy the mountain night under the stars.
